Me, myself and I

Again one from the archives, shot nearly two years ago. Our French bulldog Mikey is looking out the window at everything that moves. Kind of how I feel right now, waiting to get out with my camera to shoot something new!

Taken during a walk in the woods near Hoenderloo, the Netherlands.

I shot 3 exposures, converted them to 5 TIFFs (creating an extra -4 eV and a 4 eV version), then used Photomatix to create an HDR. The sky turned up really ugly, so I partly masked in the sky from the original 0 eV shot.

As I’m still waiting for better weather (the temperature is fine now, but it’s almost a constant drizzle now), another one from the archives. I shot this one in 2010.  It’s a DRI consisting of 5 pictures. It could have been a bit darker, I guess. Click for a larger version.

Well, starting over. Again. Yes, I know, again… For the quadrillionth time, give or take a few. Well, I’m gonna try it anyway.

I bought a new camera, a Canon 60D, a week ago, but haven’t been able to take a single “publishable” shot, since I unboxed it. Partly because it was quite a hectic week (or weeks for that matter), partly because the temperature outside dropped to about -10 °C (14 degrees Fahrenheit for the occasional US-ian visitor). I simply didn’t want to freeze my butt off!

I hope to get a few shots this week. Although it will still be freezing, I just have to get some mileage on this sucker.

I have not been very busy here on G+ lately, but have been very busy doing other stuff, like resuscitating my blog (yes, I think I still need it!), and getting it ready for the next phase in my life (announcement in the making). The year 2012 is going to be my year!

Since my iMac was “occupied” tonight by my daughter and wife I had to process this one on a 13″ Macbook Pro. Without a mouse. Or a drawing tablet. I guess it came out all right, though!
